Tanssityttö Debbie Flores-Narvaez on ollut kadoksissa viikon verran. Viimeksi hänet nähtiin ex-poikaystävänsä Blu Griffinin luona.

Viimeksi aikuishow'ssa esiintynyt Debbie nähtiin 12. joulukuuta. Sunnuntaina löytyi hänen autonsa.

No ei tietenkään ole varma tieto. Tuli vaan heti mieleen, kun luin tuon ilmoituksen ja näin Debbien kuvan.
Lisäksi tuosta "Ex-poikaystävän osuutta tutkitaan.. Ero oli ollut vaikea." voi ehkä vähän rivien välistä tulkita jotakin.
Jotenkin myös muistelisin, että tällaisia samankaltaisia tapauksia olisi tuolla Ameriiikoissa ollut useita ja niissäkin monesti se (ex-)poikaystävä on surmannut.

Ehkä ihan kaikkia keskeneräisen rikostutkimuksen yksityiskohtia ei tutkinnallisista syistä haluta kertoa julkisuuteen kesken tutkimusten. Ihan vierastahan tämä ei ole täällä koto-Suomessakaan... Kiinnostava tapaus tosiaan, ja ikävä kyllä hytinä on vähän suuntainen, ettei Debbietä enää elossa kohdata, mutta tässä tapauksessa toivoisin kyllä vilpittömästi olevani väärässä...

The mystery of the disappearance of Las Vegas showgirl Debbie Flores-Narvaez deepens.

Just days before Flores-Narvaez was reported missing, her Georgia-based mother Elise Narvaez received a cryptic text message from her daughter.

"In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact Blu Griffith in Vegas," the text sent on Dec. 1 read. "My ex-boyfriend. Not my best friend."

A confused Narvaez told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "I asked Debbie what it means, and she says, 'Never mind, mommy. Just keep it for your records.'"

Eleven days later, the 31-year-old dancer for Luxor's Fantasy show disappeared while she was reportedly on her way to Griffith's house.

According to FoxNews.com, Griffith has been uncooperative in providing the family with detailed information.

"He doesn't want to sit down and talk to me," her sister Celeste says. "There are many inconsistencies."

Griffith, an aspiring rapper, told Flores last week that her sister visited his home around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Flores-Narvaez, who promotes her ex on her MySpace page, starred in his music video "Sex Gamez," in which she is seen licking his chest.

Cops decline to comment on the case, only saying "this is an active investigation."

The argument erupted over an iPhone.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez, a dancer in the Las Vegas burlesque show Fantasy, was arguing with her boyfriend Jason "Blu" Griffith around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 22 on a Las Vegas street when he grabbed her phone and tossed it 100 feet, according to a police report.

When Flores-Narvaez bent over to pick it up, Griffith pushed her to the ground and, she claimed, kicked her and pulled her hair, a clump of which was found nearby and photographed by police as evidence.

At the time, Flores-Narvaez says, she was pregnant with Griffith's child.

Griffith, also a Las Vegas show dancer and an aspiring rapper, was arrested on domestic violence charges. The case went unnoticed until last week, when Flores-Narvaez disappeared Dec. 12 without a trace after going to Griffith's house.

Cooperating with Police

After saying nothing for days, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police spoke to reporters Tuesday but did not identify Griffith as a suspect.

"Every missing persons case has potential to have foul play involved, but at this point we have found no indication of foul play," says Las Vegas Police Lt. Rob Lindquist.

Officers are still following up on leads, including speaking to Griffith, who has been described as cooperative with investigators.

Griffith is apparently the last person to have seen Flores-Narvaez. He tells police she did in fact see him on Dec. 12 at his house, then left to meet up with friends.

"She was fine and everything appeared to be fine," Lindquist said. Her car, which was recovered a few days after her disappearance, was "drivable," Lindquist says.

Volatile Relationship

On Tuesday, Las Vegas Judge Nancy Oesterle set an April 14 preliminary hearing for Griffith on the domestic violence charges, one misdemeanor and one felony. (An attorney for Griffith declined to comment).

According to the police report in that case, Griffith confirmed he had argued with his girlfriend, but denied hitting her or taking her phone. But in addition to finding what the report called "a chunk of her hair," police also spotted bruises on both of her legs.

The pair had been dating for about a year, and friends and family describe the relationship volatile. Flores-Narvaez, 31, who also worked as a go-go dancer at Rain nightclub in the Palms hotel, appeared in Griffith's music video for a hip-hop song called "Sex Gamez," where she licks his bare chest.

Following the fight over the iPhone, the pair resumed a relationship. (The pregnancy didn't go to term, though the reason wasn't known). But at the time of her disappearance, they apparently were having problems again.

"It was a rocky relationship from what I understand, a lot of ups and downs," Flores-Narvaez's sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez, tells PEOPLE.

Griffith's former theater coach Gerald Gordon was shocked to hear about the domestic violence case, calling him "absolutely dependable, honest and talented."

"He was one of the best people I had worked with," adds Gordon. "I saw him a few weeks ago. He has a new girlfriend and he seemed very happy. I would have recommended him for anything."

Vielä lisäisin vahvistamattomia huhuja tuohon, Debbie oli Blun sanojen mukaan asunnoton ja nukkui autossaan (talousvaikeuksien vuoksi). Auto on ilmeisesti löydetty hieman huonomaineisemmalta asutusalueelta, noin 8km päästä exän talosta. Autosta huhujen mukaan on löydetty Debbien meikit ja tavarat, mutta poliisi ei tätä ole vielä varmistanut. Debbie ei ystävien mukaan liikahtaisi mihinkään ilman meikkejään. Sormenjälkituloksia autosta odotellaan.

The body of Debbie Flores-Narvaez, a missing Las Vegas dancer, might have been found in the Arizona desert, reports Fox News. Tourists stumbled upon the body of a woman while hiking in the Lake Mead National Recreational Area on Thursday, and investigators will perform an autopsy today to determine whether the body belongs to the 31-year-old.

Debbie was last seen on December 12, when she appeared at her ex-boyfriend's home then reportedly left to meet up with friends. Her car was found abandoned shortly after her disappearance.

Her ex-boyfriends have been interviewed and no arrests have yet been made. Investigators hope to have answers in the next couple days.

PS. En tiedä kuinka korkea akateeminen vaatimustaso Las Vegasin tanssitytöillä on yleisesti, mutta ainakin Debbien koulutustausta kuulostaa varsin vaikuttavalta... She achieved a Bachelor’s in International Business, a Master’s Degree in Finance and a Juris Doctorate degree in Criminal Law.

Tähänkin suhteutettuna nuo esitetyt (mutta toisaalta myös kiistetyt) huhut ja käsitykset hänen taloudellisista ja muista vaikeuksistaan kuulostavat hiukan huonosti yhteensopivilta, mutta tietysti kyllähän elämässä kaikenlaista voi sattua. Toivotaan nyt vielä, ettei tuon opiskelemansa rikosoikeuden kohdalla hän joudu sen soveltajasta kohteen rooliin...

Former boyfriend of missing dancer arrested on murder charges

Dancer Deborah Flores-Narvaez's body, dismembered and packed into at least two cement-filled tubs, was left by her killer in a downtown Las Vegas home.

Flores-Narvaez' 32-year-old former boyfriend was arrested on murder charges early Saturday morning, nearly a month after she disappeared on Dec. 12. Jason "Blu" Griffith, a dancer who performs in the Cirque du Soleil show "Love" featured at The Mirage, is being held without bail, jail records show.

Detectives discovered that Griffith had purchased cement and had rented a U-Haul not long after she visited him at his North Las Vegas home on the night of Dec. 12. Financial records -- U-Haul requires a credit card -- confirmed the rental.

The U-Haul's global positioning tracking device allowed detectives to reconstruct Griffith's movements, leading them to the downtown house where they found Flores-Narvaez's remains encased in cement.

Lt. Lew Roberts, head of the Las Vegas police homicide unit, declined comment on specific details of the case at a Saturday news conference, "in the interest of providing a good prosecution." He said it was a "complicated case" and would only confirm that the body was found downtown.

Roberts said detectives received a tip Friday that led them to take Griffith into custody on the Strip. He said he doesn't know the motive for the slaying.

The Clark County coroner's office will make a positive identification and release the cause of death. An autopsy is expected on Monday.

The investigation is continuing, and Roberts said there could be more arrests. He did not elaborate.

According to court records, Griffith is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Las Vegas Justice Court on the murder charge.

It has been nearly a month since the 31-year-old dancer was reported missing, a day after she failed to show up for a Dec. 13 performance in the Luxor show "Fantasy." Three days later, police found her Chevrolet Prizm abandoned in the northeast area of the valley, its license plates removed. The disappearance of the woman has made national headlines in part because her family has made high-profile appeals for help in finding her.

Detectives focused on Griffith, a professional dancer himself, because she accused him of beating her in October. Flores-Narvaez also told police she was pregnant with Griffith's child at that time.

Griffith has told detectives that Flores-Narvaez visited him at his home on the night she went missing, but the conversation was brief and she seemed OK before leaving, police said.

Investigators have previously searched Griffith's North Las Vegas home and his car, and his attorney, Patrick McDonald, has said Griffith had cooperated with police, including volunteering for an interview with detectives.

A preliminary hearing in the domestic violence case is scheduled for April.

Flores-Narvaez grew up in Puerto Rico before moving to Maryland, where she studied international business and law. She served as an ambassador for the Washington Redskins in 2007, a non-performing position that sent her into the community.

She moved to Las Vegas to pursue dreams of dancing, and soon was hired at some of the Strip's poshest nightclubs: Jet at The Mirage and Haze at Aria, among others.

Flores-Narvaez' sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez of Atlanta, who has been in Las Vegas in hopes of finding the dancer, did not return a message left Saturday.

Before her relationship with Griffith, court records indicate she was in at least one other troubled relationship with another professional dancer, Jamile McGee.

In April, Flores-Narvaez won a $250,000 civil judgment against McGee, whom she accused of beating her, according to court records. Court records do not indicate that she had received any money from the judgment.

McGee, who left Las Vegas more than a year ago, was never prosecuted by law enforcement, according to court records.

McGee's attorney has said there were never any medical or police reports to support Flores-Narvaez's allegations, and that she won the case only because his client ran out of money and could not continue fighting it.

Police: Ex-boyfriend dismembered body, buried ‘Fantasy’ dancer in cement

New details have emerged in the murder of Deborah Flores-Narvaez with the release Monday of an arrest report for her former boyfriend, Jason Griffith, who was charged Friday in connection with her murder.

A tip led police to discover Flores-Narvaez’s body had been dismembered, placed in plastic tubs and covered with cement. On Friday, investigators found the tubs in an apartment near Bonanza Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.

According to the report, Griffith and Flores-Narvaez became involved in a domestic dispute at his North Las Vegas residence. The couple, according to police, had a violent relationship with three previous reports of domestic violence being filed with the department. In one of the three events, Griffith was listed as the victim; in the two others, Flores-Narvaez was the victim.

An acquaintance of Griffith contacted police Friday to report he tried to leave Flores-Narvaez's body, which was cemented in a plastic tub, at her residence Dec. 15. Griffith and his roommate, Louis Colombo, left the woman's residence when she "freaked out" after being told Flores-Narvaez's body was in the tub, according to the report.

The woman told police she hesitated to alert authorities because she didn't want to believe Flores-Narvaez was dead and she was afraid of Colombo.

Detectives questioned Colombo on Friday about Flores-Narvaez's disappearance and he gave the following version of events, according to the police report:

Flores-Narvaez came to the residence he shared with Griffith the night she disappeared and got into a violent altercation with Griffith. At one point, Colombo said he "had to pull Griffith off of Flores-Narvaez because he was choking her with his hands around her neck," according to the police report.

When Colombo returned to the house on Russian Olive Street in North Las Vegas later that night, Griffith confronted him at the front door and led him to Flores-Narvaez's dead body in another room.

The two then mixed concrete and poured it over Flores-Narvaez's body in a plastic tub. The next day, they rented a U-Haul truck and tried to store it at an apartment belonging to Griffith's friend in Henderson.

When that didn't work, they eventually decided to leave the tub at the house of Colombo's friends, who were out of the country.

After the tub started leaking at its new location, Colombo told police Griffith returned with new plastic tubs, a sledge hammer, a handsaw and cleaning supplies from Walmart. The two broke Flores-Narvaez out of the concrete, and Griffith allegedly dismembered her body before placing it in two separate tubs and filling them with concrete.

Before leaving the residence, they sealed the closet doors and the tools in another room.

After interviewing Colombo, police executed a search warrant at the apartment on Bonanza Way, where they found the plastic tubs as described by Colombo, according to the police report.

Police met Griffith at the Mirage Resort and Casino as he left work late Friday night. Griffith denied any involvement in the death of Flores-Narvaez when questioned by police that night and into Saturday morning.

When police arrested him after the interview, Griffith allegedly told a detective en route to the Clark County Detention Center that Flores-Narvaez's death was "not a premeditated thing."

Police said Saturday that more arrests are possible in the case, but Colombo has not been arrested so far, according to inmate records at the Clark County Detention Center.

Flores-Narvaez’s sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez, told KSNV Channel 3 on Monday that she hopes Griffith is handed the death penalty.

"I don't understand how someone could have such a demonic mind to thought your plan out and do this to my sister," she said.

Flores-Narvaez, a part-time dancer in Luxor's "Fantasy" show and a two-year resident of Las Vegas, was last seen the evening of Dec. 12 leaving her apartment near Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez, of Atlanta, told the Sun in December that her sister's roommate contacted their family in Atlanta on Dec. 13 when Flores-Narvaez failed to show up for a late-night dance practice and show at the Luxor. Celeste Flores-Narvaez has said Griffith told their family she left his home the previous night before the season finale of the television show "Dexter."

"I want to see him face to face. I want to see him dead in his eye," Celeste Flores-Narvaez told KSNV on Monday. "I want to know every moment -- every detail."

Griffith is being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail. He is scheduled to appear before a judge Tuesday morning in North Las Vegas Justice Court.

Griffith worked as a performer in Cirque du Soleil's "The Beatles LOVE" show at the Mirage. Officials from Cirque du Soleil declined to comment Monday about his legal situation.

Minua kiinnosti tämä tapaus kyllä erittäin paljonkin!! Juuri olin tulossa kysymään onko mitään lisätietoja tapauksesta, koska ennen kuin keskustelun avaa näyttää siltä kuin viimeisin viesti olisi kirjoitettu tänne 25. joulukuuta. Veikkaan että monet muutkin olisivat olleet hyvin kiinnostuneita Debbien etsinnöistä ja löytymisestä yms., mutta eivät vain tienneet että tänne oli tullut uutta infoa (= olit muokannut viestiäsi myöhemmin).
